It is our philosophy that modern surgery should be safe, patient-centered, and innovative. We believe that healthcare delivery can be most effective when delivered compassionately and efficiently. For nearly 30 years we have been the premier surgical practice in San Jose, California, offering a variety of advanced surgical solutions. We are dedicated to continuing our rich tradition.
Due to the unique mix of our superior surgical results, and compassionate and friendly service, our laparoscopic surgery program has emerged as the fastest growing minimally invasive surgery program in the Greater San Francisco Bay area since 2008. In recognition of our superior standards, we have received all major designations of excellence including 5-star rating by Healthgrades, Aexcel® status by Aetna®, 3-Star top quality designation by Cigna®, Center of Excellence designation by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, and most importantly the Patient Choice Award by vitals.com.
For your convenience, we are contracted with most major insurances. We offer our services at two affiliated hospitals and several surgery centers. The hospitals include Good Samaritan Hospital, San Jose, and El Camino Hospital, Mountain View. These top quality tertiary care facilities are designated as Blue Distinction Centers by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in recognition of their quality specialty service. They provide state-of-the art care for gall bladder patients with the latest laparoscopic equipment and well trained compassionate nursing staff. Patients without major medical illnesses undergo surgery at one of the area surgery centers and enjoy easy access and efficient care in a relaxed and comfortable setting, without the inconvenience sometimes associated with large hospitals. These centers are recognized for their highly equipped operating rooms and their personalized service.
Our practice is green
In an attempt to minimize our impact on the environment, we use electronic medical records. Each year we save thousands of sheets of paper by using electronic progress notes, sending and receiving digital faxes, and by allowing patients to sign surgical consents directly on electronic screens. We use recyclable material when possible and ask patients to communicate with us electronically when feasible. Together we can do our part to ensure the safety of our planet.
